saturday

Porridge for breakfast, then off for our walk to Woody Bay . Six Acre Lane, beside the Caravan site leads through the woods and onto Lee Abbey, there are glorious views across Lee Bay. We follow the Coastal footpath which descends a steep hill and back up the other  side, Its several miles of road walking now, (must try Lee Cottage Tea rooms next  time, unfortunately it was closed today) until we finally reach the beach at Woody Bay.

After lunch sat on a rock watching the odd visitor and Seagull, the climb back  out onto the road is steep, to begin the 2 miles walk back to Lee Abbey.

We drink the remains of our coffee with a chocolate wafer in a little chapel, created out of a fisherman's net's storage hut.

Its another hour before we arrive back at the campsite having completed a 8.5 mile walk, unzipping the awning just as the rain came down.

I am feeling ready if I am honest for a lie down.
